We are a show and working kennel, situated on 35 acres in the central hills of Massachusetts. We are just east of the Quabbin Reservoir, and are surrounded by thousands of acres of old growth forest and a few other farms. It's an ideal setting to breed, raise, train and work Malamutes. Our Malamutes compete in AKC Conformation. We also hike, bike, sled, and ATV with our Malamutes.

Health and temperament are our highest priorities, followed by conformation to the breed standard, and working ability. We adhere to the AMCA Code of Ethics.

Normally we don't have more than one litter at a time, and we normally don't have more than two litters in a year.

Our puppies are whelped in our house. Part of our home office is set up as a whelping area, which allows us to give our puppies a great deal of attention.  We begin socializing our puppies the moment they are born, and continue socialization till the day they go to your home. Early socialization is a critical component toward a healthy, well developed adult malamute. Our puppies start meeting other people within a week after birth. Once they've had their first set of shots we take them down town to meet more people. This includes taking them for rides in our RV & Van, which helps them become comfortable with riding in motor vehicles.

One of us is almost always home. Our mals are not left to just hang around the kennel all day without anyone around. This is especially true with our puppies.

While you are looking through our site you may notice the name of some of our Malamutes includes "Malsus. Our kennel name use to be Malsus Alaskan Malamutes. We changed our kennel name when we moved to Ware Massachusetts. The town name had originally been spelled Weir. The Ware River runs along the cliffs behind our property.

We started competing in AKC Conformation in 2002. Since then we have finished AKC championships on 6 Alaskan Malamutes. We've have a few other accomplishments.

Please feel free to contact us if you have questions about our Alaskan Malamutes, about Malamutes in general, or are interested in a puppy, an adult, or stud service. Please note that we are very selective about who we will breed our dogs with. Backyard breeders and puppy mills need not bother to contact us. The answer will always be NO! Our puppies are normally sold with Limited AKC Registration.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our site and look forward to hearing from you.
